birmingham christmas

on christmas day michael and i drove to birmingham to have christmas with his family.   i woke up feeling nauseous and felt that way most of the day.  of course, everyone wanted me to take a pregnancy test that day.  {definitely not preggo!}  it was just crummy not being able to eat all the yummy food!!

sweet mallory...

 tripp loved his horsey...
3 generations in their matching pjs...
 tripp sporting all his gear...auburn uniform...auburn band-aids....golf club set...and a game...
megan and mallory at the family christmas party....
oh, and i might as well post a picture of our 1st christmas card...

we had a wonderful christmas season.  but i must admit,  i am glad to be back to a 'normal' routine where things aren't quite so hectic.

a greensboro christmas

for my family's christmas this year we decided to host everyone down in greensboro the weekend before christmas.  this was something we had never done before --- usually i only see my cousins at thanksgiving, christmas, and maybe easter and for only enough time for everyone to scarf down their lunch.

everyone arrived on saturday and michael took the guys shooting.  it was pretty funny as i have never seen my cousin or brother even hold a gun.  much more of the golfing type.  but we are in the country now and had to show them a true redneck country christmas.

had lots of christmas treats...

this game was a huge hit...
we were exhausted after it was all over.....

trick or treat

michael and i were invited to a couple of halloween parties this year.  however, in typical fashion, we waited until the last minute to come up with a costume.  we went to halloween spirit in tuscaloosa a couple of days before halloween and of course everything was picked over {and packed with kids looking for costumes to their date parties}.  so on to plan b.  thanks to pinterest {where i have been spending all of my time lately} i saw a 'deer in headlights' costume.  so that's what we were.  everyone loved it and we had a great night.

we started the night at archie's party in demopolis.  here we are with archie, the 'illegal alien'...

then it was back to greensboro to hit up buzzy's party....

it was over the top complete with a dj/karaoke...

big bad wolf, bambi, gangster...

full costume...

maybe we'll be better prepared next year!
